I use the fentanyl patch every 72 hrs., I also have to use Avinza 2x daily, oxycodone 2 to 3x daily, lidoderm daily, biofreeze daily and proctosol daily. If it were not for these medicines I could not function at all. Before I had to start taking these I took celebrex and darvocet (13 daily) it worked until the celebrex ate a hole in my stomach, then I had to start taking all of this plus more. Without this I would be bedridden of dead from the pain. I am grateful for the fentanyl patch. The only complaint I have is the cost of all this medications, I am on a limited income and it takes most of it for medicine as you can see. But I can not do with out it if I want to keep going. Recently I have started having seizures the doctors are not sure if it is from one of the medicines or from the constant pain which can eventually leave leisons on the brain which can cause seizures.
